THIS IS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF JESUS DIDN'T GET CRUCIFIED IF YOU GUYS THOUGHT ABOUT IT: The sun had just begun to rise over Jerusalem, casting a soft, golden light on the ancient city. Outside the palace of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea, a large crowd had gathered. Among them were the religious leaders who had accused Jesus of Nazareth, a man known for his wise teachings and claims of being the Son of God. Jesus stood before Pilate, looking weary and beaten, but his eyes held a steady gaze, reflecting his inner strength. Pontius Pilate, a man of authority and power, addressed the crowd. "People of Jerusalem, I present to you Jesus of Nazareth. You have accused him of blasphemy and sedition, yet I have found no fault in him worthy of death. He is a man of great wisdom and compassion, and his teachings have inspired many. However, it is your wish that he be crucified. Tell me, why should this man be put to death?" The crowd, stirred up by the religious leaders, shouted out their demands. "Crucify him! Crucify him! He claims to be the Son of God! He must die!" Their voices rang out, filled with anger and hatred. Stepping forward from the crowd was Caiaphas, a religious leader with a look of disdain on his face. "Governor Pilate," he said, "this man is a threat to our nation. He stirs up the people with his teachings and claims to be a king. To maintain the peace and uphold the law, he must be put to death." Frustration etched across Pilate's face as he turned to Caiaphas. "Surely, there must be another way," he pleaded. "I find no fault in this man. Can we not find a different punishment that satisfies your desire for justice?" Caiaphas' voice remained cold and unwavering. "No, Governor. The law is clear. Blasphemy and sedition are punishable by death. We demand that you uphold the law and crucify Jesus of Nazareth." Pilate sighed, running a hand through his hair. He knew that the religious leaders' influence over the crowd was strong, and their demands carried weight. Turning to Jesus, he asked, "Do you have anything to say in your defense? Is there something I have overlooked?" Jesus, his voice steady and filled with compassion, replied, "Governor Pilate, I have spoken only the truth and taught the way of love and peace. My kingdom is not of this world, and I have come to save, not to condemn. If it is your will that I be crucified, so be it. I offer my love and forgiveness, even to those who wish me harm." As the tension hung heavy in the air, Pilate's wife, Claudia, entered the scene. She looked anxious and worried as she approached her husband and whispered in his ear. "Husband, I had a vision," she said. "This man is innocent, and his death will bring great suffering. Please, do not crucify him." Pilate's face softened as he listened to his wife's plea. Caiaphas shouted after Pilate, "You will regret this decision, Governor! Mark my words!" Jesus was brought to a courtyard within the palace, where a whipping post stood. Two Roman soldiers approached him, their faces void of emotion. Despite the crowd's disappointment that Jesus would not be crucified, they still gathered to witness his punishment. "Kneel down, prisoner," one of the soldiers ordered. Jesus knelt, his head bowed, as the soldiers prepared their whips. The sound of leather straps being tested filled the air with an ominous echo. "This will hurt," one soldier said, "but remember, your actions have brought this upon yourself." The soldiers raised their whips and brought them down across Jesus' back with full force. The crowd winced at the sound of the lashes connecting with flesh. Jesus grit his teeth and tensed with each strike, small cries of pain escaping his lips. "Feel the weight of your crimes!" one soldier shouted between lashes. "Suffer for your transgressions!" added the other. Jesus' body shook with each strike, and his back soon became a bloody mess. Mary Magdalene, her voice trembling, whispered, "Oh God, have mercy on him." John, clenching his fists, added, "This is unjust. He does not deserve this." As the soldiers delivered the final lashes, Jesus' body collapsed forward, spent and broken. They stepped back, their task complete. Pilate entered the courtyard, accompanied by Claudia. He signaled for the soldiers to stop and approached Jesus, who lay on the ground, struggling to breathe. "Behold, people of Jerusalem," Pilate addressed the crowd, "Jesus of Nazareth has received his punishment. He will now be released." The crowd murmured, some disappointed that the spectacle was over, while others quietly dispersed, their thirst for blood unquenched. Claudia, concerned for Jesus' welfare, turned to her husband. "Husband, he is badly wounded. We must ensure he receives care." Pilate nodded in agreement. "Yes, see that he is taken to the prison infirmary. I want him to survive this." The soldiers lifted Jesus' battered body and carried him away. Mary Magdalene and the disciples stepped forward, their eyes filled with sorrow as they followed.
